Abstract
Abstract. There are many challenges in healthcare which can be solved by AI, operations research and data science techniques. We discuss the role of optimization and AI in Large Scale Problems with applications in Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0 and more examples in health 4.0. The tracking of patient orders in health 4.0 supply chain is a critical problem. We continue with challenging research on supply chain and smart manufacturing, with a focus on the positioning of the order penetration point in supply chain networks under uncertain demand and lead-times, and its applications in complex systems engineering and healthcare. Moreover, we present the operations research work on kidney transplantation. Finally, we conclude with the application of my research in behavioral healthcare analytics, including queueing, statistical and reinforcement learning, and uncertainty quantification.
