Assessing the Impact of Strong Wind Loads on High-Rise Buildings in Proximity to the Seashore
This project focuses on designing and analyzing high-rise structures, including their foundations, with a specific emphasis on wind analysis for a G+30 building. The study considers RCC structures of G+15 and G+30 for detailed analysis and design. It addresses the impact of high-intensity wind loads, particularly along the coastal areas of India, using data from the meteorological department. The research aims to comply with IS 875-2015 standards for accurate wind load calculations and to understand how the aspect ratio (length/width) of buildings influences displacement when subjected to wind loads applied longitudinally. The findings will inform best practices for constructing resilient high-rise buildings in coastal regions prone to severe wind events.
