Quantifying The Influence Of Pedagogical Approaches On Student Achievement In Lagos State, Nigeria
Abstract —This study investigates the relationship between teachers' quality and the academic performance of junior secondary school students in Islamic Studies. Conducted in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area, Lagos State, 90 students were randomly assigned to three groups, each taught using one of the methods. Pre-tests and post-tests were administered to assess student performance. Statistical analysis was conducted using t-tests and regression models in SPSS. The results indicated no significant difference between the methods, with significance levels above 0.05, suggesting that no single method consistently outperforms the others in terms of improving student performance. The study concludes that teachers should adapt their methods to the needs of the students and the nature of the subject matter to maximize effectiveness.

The human body operates like an intricate machine, with each organ and system working together
to maintain a state of balance and health. The stomach, often regarded as the body’s engine room,
plays a pivotal role in overall health. It's not just the site of digestion but a crucial area influencing
energy, immune system function, and even mental well-being. For Nigerians, especially males and
females struggling with high blood pressure, infertility, asthma, and prostate cancer, understanding
the link between diet, exercise, and martial arts is essential.
When the stomach and digestive system are properly nurtured, the entire body can function
optimally. One way to ensure the body runs efficiently and healthily is through regular physical
activity. Martial arts, specifically Taekwondo, stomach exercises, squatting, and other forms of
fitness, have been shown to provide numerous benefits, particularly for Nigerian males and females
who face health challenges such as high blood pressure, infertility, asthma, and prostate cancer. In
this lecture, we will explore how martial arts can provide unique health benefits that address these
concerns.
