Mr. Shanlin Yang

YANG Shanlin, born in October 1948, is a native of Huaining County, Anhui Province. He is a professor of Hefei University of Technology, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and an expert in management science and information system engineering. He received his master's degree from the School of Computer and Information Science of Hefei University of Technology in 1985, and began to work as a teacher at HFUT since then. He was the Vice President of Hefei University of Technology. He is the director of the Academic Committee of Hefei University of Technology, the director of the National-Local Joint Engineering Research Center of "Intelligent Decision and Information System Technology", and the director of the National Engineering Laboratory of "Big Data Circulation and Transaction Technology". In scientific research, he has focused on the theory and technology of intelligent decision-making, information system theory and technology, and the theory of strategic planning and system management, and has achieved innovative results in the combination of theory and practice. He has won two second prizes of National Science and Technology Progress Award, six first prizes of Provincial and/or Ministerial Science and Technology Award, and one first prize of Natural Science Award from the Ministry of Education. He has published five academic monographs, and more than 400 academic papers in important domestic and international journals and international conferences. In terms of talent cultivation, he has carried out the reform of teaching content, the innovation of cultivation mode and the construction of teaching team for achieving the goal of cultivating innovative talents. He has obtained three second prizes of national teaching achievement award. He has also been awarded the National Teaching Master Award for Higher Education Institutions in 2008, the National May Day Labor Medal in 2014, the Fudan Award for Outstanding Contribution to Management in 2015, the First National Innovation and Pioneering Award in 2017, the "Lifetime Achievement Award in Systems Science and Systems Engineering" by the Chinese Society of Systems Engineering in 2018, and the title of "National Model Teacher" by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the Ministry of Education in 2019. He was selected as a candidate for the National Model in Education in 2021.
