- Supervising & Managing the Department of Microbiology which include s Bacteriology, Mycology, Molecular Biology (Real Time- PCR), Media Room, Serology & Imm unology including ELISA, Mycobacteriology. ( Authorized Signatory for Department of Microbiology ) As a Head-Lab Operations, I am looking after operations of the lab both Nati onal as well as International. Maintaining quality standards as per NABL & CLSI guidelines related t o Microbiology. Regularly and actively participating in Research & Development of Microbiology, CMEs, and Training of newer techniques introduced in Microbiology etc. Preparing Standard Operating Procedures for Department of Microbiology as per guidelines Introducing new techniques in Microbiology, prepare Quality Improvement programm e of the department. Ensure that work protocols being followed as per Standard Operating P rocedures (SOPs) & maintain confidentiality as per company protocol. To manage turnaround time (TAT) of Department of Microbiology and to ensure that all reports are dispatched and approved on time. Providing information and advice to colleagues and external bodies. Giving training to all staff regarding various methods/techniques in Microb iology. Resolving Customer care, patients, doctor queries regarding any report prob lems etc.

- Identifying bacterial, parasitic & viral infections, testing the s trength and virulence of the microbes. Maintaining Quality Standards as per National Accreditation B oard for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) & Clinical Laboratory Standard Institute (CLSI) guidelines for Microbiology. Ensure that work protocols being followed as per Standard Operating P rocedures (SOPs) & maintain confidentiality as per company protocol. Giving training to all staff regarding various methods/techniques used in Mi crobiology etc. To prepare Evidence based Quality Improvement programme in Microbiology. Supervising & maintaining Quality standards of TB Cultures La b dealing with patients samples & Embassy client samples (USA, Canada, England and Australia). Resolving Customer care, patients, doctor queries regarding any report prob lems etc. Validation of newly introduced drugs into the panel, new tests & ne w instruments etc. as per standard guidelines. Prepare & review antibiotic sensitivity reports of the patients.
