About
Dr. Ripudaman Singh specializes in the field of regional development. He has been working on regional disparities in India and analyzing how these regional disparities have evolved and how their nature, extent and intensity have been varying over time and space. His PhD thesis on Trends in Regional Disparities in India since Independence: A Geographical Analysis has been well acclaimed and widely published as Regional Disparities in Pre and Post Reform India (Saptrishi, Chandigarh, 2016). Globalization and Regional Disparities in India (Saptrishi, Chandigarh, 2017) is a collection of his research papers published on the related themes. His other areas of interest are regional developmental studies of Punjab and South Asia. Also, the understanding of the changing nature of International Relations and Geopolitics is dear to his thinking. Another book by him on Changing Geopolitical Contours in the Twenty First Century Worl d (Saptrishi, Chandigarh , 2017) has also been published and well received. Applications of Remote Sensing & GIS and Disaster Management are his other core competencies. An edited volume on Re-envisioning Remote Sensing Applications: Perspectives from Developing Countries has been accepted by Taylor & Francis Group (CRC Press , 2019) and is under process.
