As the Librarian at Sankar Foundation Eye Hospital and Institute—a premier tertiary eye care and research centre, you play a pivotal role in supporting clinical excellence, academic advancement, and community outreach through effective knowledge management. Key Responsibilities: Information Resource Management: Curate, organise, and maintain a specialised collection of ophthalmology and vision science resources, including journals, textbooks, case studies, and digital databases. Support for Education & Training: Assist medical students, fellows, and researchers in accessing relevant literature and evidence-based resources to support learning and research. Digital Library Services: Implement and manage digital tools and platforms to ensure seamless access to e-resources, including subscriptions to online journals and databases. Research Assistance: Provide bibliographic support, reference services, and citation guidance for academic publications and institutional research projects. Knowledge Organisation: Apply library science principles to classify and index ophthalmic materials for easy retrieval and long-term preservation. Collaboration: Work closely with doctors, educators, and administrators to align library services with the hospital’s mission to eradicate avoidable blindness and promote holistic eye care. Community Engagement: Support outreach initiatives by providing educational materials for eye health awareness programs and screening camps. Impact: Your role contributes directly to the hospital’s vision of becoming a Centre of Excellence in Eye Care by ensuring that knowledge is accessible, organised, and effectively used to improve patient outcomes and advance ophthalmic research.

I joined as a Project assistant on Adhac basic, I have worked in different sectors in Library Services, like Digital Repository and Circulation Section, Technical Section, Journal Section, Reference Sections, faculty profile development, Institutional Repository, etc..

Graduate Trainee at IIT Madras. My role is Library Service and Digital Information provided to the students, Research Scholars and Staff. I have worked in various sections like Acquisition and circulation, Reference, Technical Section, and Adminstraion works

My Project is "Archiving of Digitised Print on Paper Literature" at Jaswant S Kanwar Library (ICRISAT), where I used to work, requested journal articles, provided to the Scientists, research Scholars and staff, and I am doing and maintaining the institutional Repository. I uploaded above 3,000 articles to the site of Icrisat Infosis
