DESIGNING OF FIXED WING AIRCRAFT
Analysis makes for airframe design consideration using calculation of design parameters, using NACA 0021 series with the help of balsa wood and other light weight materials. The airframe of a fixed-wing aircraft consists of the five major units as Fuselage, wings, Stabilizers, Flight controls surface and Landing gear.
Performance Investigation of Subsonic Axial-Flow Compressor with Special Emphasis on Diverse Climate Conditions
The objective of my project is to investigating the performance of axial flow compressor by changing of stator staggers angle at different climatic circumstances by using CFD simulation (CFX). CFD Itemization for performance enrichment of axial flow compressor by adjustment of stator stagger angle with special emphasis on diverse climate conditions. The efficiency, pressure ratio and mass flow rate is vary at summer and winter season, when the density of air change changes, that affect the temperature & mass flow rate of the air at compressor inlet. Means the range of compressor can be improve by increasing the mass flow rate and by varying the stator stagger angles like 15o, 30o, 45o stagger angle. This reports objective is to reduce the total pressure loss coefficient of an inlet guide vane at different stagger angle and therefore reduce the overall fuel consumption. IGVs are typically designed for one set of conditions. The goal of this paper is to discover methods to improve the IGVs at higher stagger angles such that overall mission efficiency of the engine improves than the overall performance of axial flow compressor is also improve.
