About
I am a senior lecturer and researcher in Economics at Addis Ababa University, Department of Economics. I hold BA Degree in Economics and MSc Degree in Economics. Currently, I am a PhD Candidate in Economics. I have professional work experience for more than 15 years, in which I have accumulated vital expertise in teaching, training, research, consultancy and leadership. I have given lectures and trainings on many subjects such as Development Economics I; Natural Resource and Environmental Economics; Agricultural Project Planning, Evaluation and Analysis; Labor Economics; Industrial Economics; Development Planning and Project Analysis I and II; and Research Methodology, Econometrics, Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. To mention few research and consultancy experiences I possess: time series and panel data analysis and modelling; value chain analysis ranging from farmers to exporters (success factors, constraints and opportunity analysis) on the spices sector in Ethiopia; climate change adaptation, resilience, vulnerability, inflation and price dynamics and green economy; offered consultancy and training services on climate change adaptation to farming households; served as associate researcher for Education Strategy Center under Ministry of Education; worked as an assistant researcher under IGADs Resilience Analysis Unit (RAU); Additionally, I have given consultancy service to the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) on adoption of low -carbon solutions in tackling climate change in Ethiopia, and worked as principal researcher on the development of grant allocation formula for the House of Federation. Most recently, I have worked as a researcher for FER consultancy firm and advisor for Agro -Pastoral Initiative for Development (AID) and currently, Im contributing in local NGO as Communication and Partnership Manager of Inspiration for Development Organization (IFDO). Also, I led the Student Career Development Center (SCDC) of the College of Business and Economics (CoBE), Addis Ababa University (AAU). On the other hand, I have served in different academic and administrative positions in Ambo University and Addis Ababa University where I have developed an excellent leadership, and demonstrated team working and coordination skills. Finally, I have very strong interpersonal and communication skills together with a capacity of working in a diversified, hectic and challenging environment.

Communication and Partnership Manager
Representing the NGO in all its dealings with third parties regarding research and project collaborations and partnerships; Searching and identifying potential collaborators and funding agencies; Preparing partnership proposals and submitting to the identified stakeholders; Exploring development needs of indigenous people mainly Afar, Amhara and Somali regional states in Ethiopia and facilitating linkages with international development agencies.

Preparing manuals and providing training on soft skills to undergraduate students; Facilitating the provision of various training to students on soft sills and entrepreneurship skill; Conducting tracer study on the undergraduate programs of the college; Facilitating employment opportunities for fresh graduates with different stakeholders and employers; Organizing job fair and career weeks; among others.
