Mahalakshmi A.L

Prof. A L Mahalakshmi, Vice Principal, Department of Medical Surgical Nursing, completed B.Sc Nursing from SRM College of Nursing, Ramapuram, Chennai in the year 2001 and M.Sc Nursing in Medical Surgical Nursing from M A Chidambaram College of Nursing, Taramani, Chennai in 2006. I have worked in the various level from Lecturer to Principal from 2006 to 2018 in my career. Also having international experience as a Nursing Director at TISI Sangam College of Nursing and health care education at Fiji Island, involved in the formulation for Curriculum for Nurse Partitioner and enrolled Nursing Courses in Fiji. Moreover, I have joined at Shri Sathya Sai College of Nursing, Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University from 2019 onwards continuing till date. Having around 20 years of total teaching experience. I am currently holding the member secretary positions in various committee, such as admission committee, curriculum Committee, SNA Committee, National Scholarship Committee, Mentor Mentee Committee. I also have been involved various academic and administration related works of SSSCON. I have guided around 40 PG research projects and having expertise in research works. Currently having two IMR projects and UG projects under study. Presented and participated as a resource person for various internal and external organized conference, webinar and CNE programme. I am holding a life time membership of Trained Nurses Association of India, International Association of Oncology and also having the BLS Instructor position at SSSMCRI. Have done National and International publications in various Journal. Received appreciation certificate for reviewing around 25 Case reports under the Springer Journal for the academic year 2023-2024. Submitted the content for Short term certificate course on “Burns dressing”, under TNNMC for TNOU. Has successfully completed various courses on the alternative therapy such as Reiki and Taichi, Pranayama Teacher Training Programme and obtained trained and master certificates. Have been appointed us reviewer for various journals.
