Project Consultant
- To teach at undergraduate and graduate level in course units allocated by the Head of Department and reviewed from time to time by the Head of Department. To carry out research and produce publications, or other research outputs, in line with personal objectives agreed in the Staff review process. To obtain research funding support. To engage with the broader scholarly and professional communities. To supervise or assist with supervision of undergraduate, taught graduate (Masters) or research graduate (MPhil/PhD) students. To contribute to the development, planning and implementation of a high -quality curriculum. To assist in the development of learning materials, preparing schemes of work, and maintaining records to monitor student progress, achievement and attendance. To provide pastoral care and support to students. To participate in the administration of the departments programmes of study and other activities as requested. To contribute to Departmental, Faculty, or University wide working groups or committees as requested. To maintain my own continuing professional development. To participate in departmental and faculty seminars aimed at sharing research outcomes and building interdisciplinary collaboration within and outside the department. To participate in the development, administration and marking of exams and other assessments.
Associate Consultant
- Develop or assist with development of data collection instruments. Design, develop and maintain various databases using MS Access, SQL, SAS or STATA includes establishment of relational databases and systems programming. Perform quality assurance and integration of multiple data streams for research studies, student projects and administrative needs. Conduct multivariate statistical analyses using standard and advanced statistical techniques. Prepare or assist in preparation of results for reports, publications and/or presentation. Lead continued development of the infrastructure for the assemblage of data and computer models. Perform other research support functions such as contribute to research study design including methodology and analysis for grant proposals
Senior Lecturer & Researcher
- To play a significant role in the design, development and planning of modules and programmes within the subject area as required. To play a significant role in the review of modules and programmes and in quality assurance and enhancement as required. To develop innovative approaches to learning and teaching as appropriate. To undertake research -led teaching at different levels on undergraduate and/or postgraduate taught courses, regularly collecting, and responding to, student feedback. To provide timely feedback and assessment of coursework and examinations. To provide general support and guidance to students, resolving issues and/or referring to specialist parties, where appropriate. Providing Professors and Department Heads with feedback on student progress. Conducting research, publishing papers, and attending conferences. Attending academic events and networking with other researchers and field experts. To supervise students undertaking research projects as appropriate. Traveling to other higher education institutions and organizations to gain experience and expand networks. Writing proposals to secure research funding.
