Dynamic load balanced multicast for data intensive applications on Clouds
Language used: Java (Swings, Socket Programming, RMI). Keywords: Cloud computing, Load balancing. Description: Data intensive paralle l applications on clouds need to deploy large data sets from cloud storage facility to all compute nodes as fast as possible. The project aimed to propose two multicast algorithms which made it possible to transfer huge amount of data from cloud storage fa cility to all the computing nodes (EC2) as fast as possible without using the network monitoring data and network topology information. We made use of Amazon web services (AWS) S3 as the cloud storage facility.
