Dr. Bireshwar Bera (b.1975), Recipient of National Scholarship, Ph.D. in Zoology from University of Calcutta is presently working as Associate Professor of Zoology, St. Joseph’s College, North Point, Darjeeling, W.B. Previously he was Project Scientist in the Institute of Environmental Studies and Wetland Management (IESWM), Department of Environment Govt. of W.B. He was also lecturer of the colleges like Sonarpur Mahavidyalaya, Netaji Mahavidyalaya and Rabindra Mahavidyalaya. He regularly published his research article in prestigious National and International Journals and also a regular writer of Book Chapters of National and International Publishers. His research field is Carbohydrate Biochemistry of Freshwater Fish Helminth Parasite. Now he is doing his research work on broad areas of Ecology of Freshwater Wetlands at various parts of the Country. He is active life member with journal in “The Zoological Society of Calcutta” and “ Journal of Parasitology and Applied Animal Biology”. He is now Professional members of InSc.
