Dr. Ahmed ElHamahmy is a highly accomplished and results-driven Lead Principal Structural Engineer with over 18 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, specializing in both offshore and onshore projects. His expertise spans all design stages, from conceptualization and FEED to detailed engineering, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of project lifecycles. Ahmed has consistently excelled in leadership roles, serving as both a design engineer and project team leader, with a significant 12-year commitment to Saudi Aramco's offshore development projects, including greenfield and brownfield initiatives. Currently, Ahmed is a professional Ph.D. researcher in Project Management at Cairo University, showcasing his dedication to continuous learning and academic advancement. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Arab Academy for Management, Banking, and Financial Sciences (AAMBFS), earned with excellent honors, and an MSc. in Civil Engineering from Helwan University (2011). He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP)® and Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP)® by the Project Management Institute (PMI), USA, and is a Graduate Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE), having successfully passed the Professional Review Interview (PRI) for Chartered Engineer accreditation. In addition to his structural engineering expertise, Ahmed is also a Certified International Trainer and a Carbon Footprint Consultant, demonstrating a commitment to sustainability and professional development. His experience encompasses a wide range of projects, including the design and as-built engineering of offshore platforms, support for construction and installation activities, and onshore plant development.
