Zoociencia is a scientific journal of the Faculty of Animal Sciences of the UDCA (University of California), which focuses on promoting communication and collaboration between individuals and organizations involved in the development of Animal Sciences, primarily in areas related to research, teaching, agroindustry, and agricultural administration. This publication has a clear interdisciplinary philosophy and therefore promotes the publication of current information, both politically and technically, related to the agricultural sector, as well as contributions and research results in the area of ​​livestock sciences, not only from academic groups or individuals but also from other types of organizations. The publication also encourages participation and the exchange of knowledge between academia and its community at the local, regional, national, and international levels, and seeks to harness the power of the Internet to transmit knowledge in a flexible, timely, and efficient manner. Therefore, it is an electronic journal, which overcomes the limitations of a paper journal by incorporating instant access, multimedia, and hypertext. Publishing in this journal will be free of charge. Papers will be subject to peer review and will maintain the essential characteristics of a scientific journal. The journal offers ongoing advice from a scientific committee and an editorial board that guarantees the quality of the articles and ensures that the journal's publications reflect the state of the art in science and ensure a cumulative impact on knowledge. Zoociencia is a scientific and technical journal produced and managed by the Faculty of Animal Sciences of the University of Applied and Environmental Sciences. Its purpose is to promote communication and collaboration among individuals and organizations involved in rural development in tropical countries.
