Zeitschrift fur Pflanzenernahrung und Bodenkunde (ZPB)
Journal Descriptions
Zeitschrift für Pflanzenernährung und Bodenkunde is a peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to research in soil science and plant nutrition. It represents the continuation and modernization of earlier German journals focusing on fertilization and agricultural chemistry, and it has developed into an internationally recognized platform for publishing high-quality research in soil–plant systems. The journal publishes original research articles, reviews, and short communications covering a wide range of topics, including soil chemistry, soil physics, soil biology, nutrient cycling, fertilizer application, plant–soil interactions, and sustainable land management. It also addresses environmental issues such as soil degradation, pollution, and the impact of climate change on soil fertility and crop production. Although rooted in German scientific tradition, the journal now publishes primarily in English and attracts contributions from researchers worldwide. It serves scientists, agronomists, environmentalists, and policymakers working toward improving agricultural productivity while maintaining ecological sustainability.
