The Zeitschrift für Untersuchung der Nahrungs- und Genußmittel (Journal for the Examination of Food and Luxury Goods) was a German scientific journal dedicated to the chemical and analytical study of food products and consumables. Established in 1898, it played an important role in the early development of food science, food safety regulations, and nutritional analysis in Europe. The journal focused on the investigation of food composition, detection of adulteration, quality assurance, and chemical properties of edible and luxury goods such as beverages, spices, and processed foods.
