The Journal of Developmental and Educational Psychology is a recognized forum for two major areas of psychology, one more fundamentally oriented and the other predominantly application-oriented. By linking these two areas, the journal attempts to counteract the tendencies towards separation of the disciplines that have increasingly been observed in recent times. ZEPP is aimed at both scientists and practitioners. The journal publishes original works, short articles and critical review papers in German and English from the entire field of developmental and educational psychology. Original works and short articles are primarily theory-led empirical research contributions, but in special cases also contributions to method development, evaluation and theory formation including computer modeling. Short reports and communications from research, teaching and professional practice are published under a special section. The Journal of Developmental and Educational Psychology (ISSN 0049-8637) has been published quarterly since 1969.
