Journal Descriptions
The Zeitschrift für Bildungsforschung (ZBF) / Journal of Research on Education is a scholarly scientific journal that aims to provide a foundation for evidence-based advancement in educational systems by addressing substantive issues in education and presenting them for discussion, guidance, empirical testing, and/or theoretical validation. ZBF publishes papers in both German and English in three issues per year. All contributions undergo a double-blind peer review process. This interdisciplinary journal welcomes contributions from all scientific disciplines that focus on educational processes, institutions, or systems. The term "education" is understood in a broad sense as a description of the research field, as well as a target dimension to be analyzed empirically, theoretically, and historically. The term "research" is not restricted to certain methodological approaches. This vision of the ZBF is represented by a group of editors with diverse disciplinary and methodological backgrounds.
