For more than 60 years, the Journal of Ergonomics has been dedicated to the wide and interdisciplinary range of topics of ergonomics: the latest research results are published promptly in scientific articles; in the practice-oriented contributions, scientific information is prepared in an understandable and implementable way for practitioners. The journal publishes articles from the entire field of ergonomics. Review articles can only be published if they have been requested by the editors. In principle, only works that have not already been offered or published elsewhere may be submitted. No liability is assumed for unsolicited manuscripts. The journal is intended to serve the interdisciplinary exchange in the field of ergonomics. The manuscripts should therefore be kept clear and concise, and they must also be understandable to readers of other disciplines. Technical terms that are not generally known are to be explained in the text. The Journal of Ergonomics distinguishes between scientific articles and practical contributions. Practical contributions serve to make ergonomics clearer for companies and to show possibilities for implementation in one's own company. Therefore, especially with these articles, attention should be paid to general comprehensibility, practical orientation and short presentation.
