Writing & Pedagogy (W&P)
Journal Descriptions
Writing & Pedagogy is committed to providing an internationally-oriented forum for dissemination of knowledge focused on the nature of writing and its development across the lifespan. The journal aims to stimulate conversations that substantially advance writing theory and pedagogy by revealing similarities and differences in practices and concerns across contexts for writing. Although the primary focus is research on the teaching and learning of writing in formal educational settings, the journal also welcomes articles focusing on writing in workplace and other non-academic settings, and on issues of a theoretical, methodological, or practical nature. W&P seeks full-length and shorter articles on: the teaching of writing, especially within and across school subjects; writing in varying language environments; and writing curricula design and implementation. Submissions to W&P should be framed by well-articulated, theoretically-based understandings of the construct of writing being addressed in systematic research, conceptual discussion, or pedagogical reflection. Submissions must align with APA (7th edition) citation guidelines and consistently adhere to either British or North American English language conventions. Writing & Pedagogy provides an internationally-oriented forum for discussion and dissemination of knowledge focussed on the nature of writing and its development across the lifespan.
