World Political Science (WPS)
Journal Descriptions
World Political Science is a peer-reviewed international journal that aims to promote global political science scholarship by making high-quality research accessible across linguistic and regional boundaries. Launched in 2015 as a successor to World Political Science Review, the journal is published by De Gruyter in collaboration with the International Political Science Association (IPSA). Its core mission is to disseminate outstanding political science research originally produced in different languages and regions, thereby fostering international academic exchange. The journal publishes translated and adapted articles selected from national political science journals affiliated with IPSA. This unique model allows important research, often limited by language barriers, to reach a broader global audience. The scope of the journal is broad and includes areas such as comparative politics, international relations, political theory, public policy, governance, and political economy. World Political Science emphasizes diversity in perspectives, encouraging contributions from underrepresented regions and academic traditions. It plays a crucial role in bridging gaps between local scholarship and global academic discourse. By facilitating cross-cultural understanding and scholarly communication, the journal contributes significantly to the advancement and internationalization of political science research.
