Virtual Economics is a peer-reviewed open-access scientific journal dedicated to promoting cross-disciplinary research on the role of digitalisation and sustainability in development management at micro-, meso-, macro- and global levels. The journal seeks to publish studies examining the potential of information and communication technologies to support Sustainable Development Goals, as well as the challenges and trade-offs associated with their use. In addition, the journal aims to promote the development of best practices and innovative solutions that employ information and communication technologies to address sustainability challenges across a range of domains, including energy, transport, agriculture and urban planning. By bringing together cutting-edge research from diverse disciplines, the journal seeks to contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of the opportunities and limitations of the virtual economy in advancing sustainable development and to inform policy and professional practice in this important field.
