Journal Descriptions

The University of Florida Law Review, now known as the Florida Law Review, is one of the leading student-edited legal journals in the United States. Established in 1973 at the Fredric G. Levin College of Law, University of Florida, the journal has played a significant role in advancing legal scholarship for more than seven decades. It publishes high-quality articles, essays, and student notes covering a wide range of legal topics, including constitutional law, criminal justice, civil rights, environmental law, corporate law, and public policy. The journal is entirely student-run, with an editorial board composed of selected law students who are responsible for selecting, editing, and preparing scholarly works for publication. It releases approximately six issues per year and is widely respected in academic and professional legal communities for its rigorous editorial standards. Over the years, the Florida Law Review has featured contributions from prominent scholars, judges, and practitioners, making it a key platform for influential legal discourse in the United States. It is indexed in major legal research databases such as Westlaw and HeinOnline, ensuring broad accessibility to researchers and practitioners. The journal continues to contribute significantly to legal research, policy development, and academic debate in the field of law.
