Translational Materials Research Scope and key information Translational Materials Research is a new type of learned publication focusing on the steps needed to translate breakthroughs in advanced materials research into commercial technologies, products and applications. The journal covers all stages of the materials innovation chain—from discovery and invention through to product development and manufacturing. TMR seeks to make connections between the main stakeholders in the translational process: researchers in academic and government labs; scientists and engineers in industrial R&D; funding agencies and policy-makers; as well as venture capitalists, other investors and intellectual-property experts.
