Theory of Probability and Mathematical Statistics (TPMS)
Journal Descriptions
Theory of Probability and Mathematical Statistics is a peer‑reviewed international scientific journal founded in 1970 at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and since then has served as a major platform for publishing high‑quality research in probability and mathematical statistics. It is published biannually (twice a year) in both print and electronic forms, and since 2020 it is issued jointly by Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and the American Mathematical Society (AMS) as a cover‑to‑cover English edition. The journal’s scope spans core areas of probability theory and mathematical statistics, including but not limited to theory of random processes and fields, stochastic differential equations, stochastic analysis, queuing and reliability theory, statistics of random processes, random operators, and applications in finance and actuarial science. The journal is indexed in major databases such as SCOPUS, Web of Science Core Collection, Mathematical Reviews, and Zentralblatt MATH, reflecting its recognition in the global research community. It publishes original peer‑reviewed research contributions that advance theoretical understanding and practical applications in stochastic modelling and statistical inference. Through its long history, Theory of Probability and Mathematical Statistics has contributed to the dissemination of significant results and fostered international collaboration in the mathematical sciences.
