The mission of The Service Industries Journal is to improve our knowledge of the services sector, service firms and the effective management of these firms. Established in 1981 we were the first academic peer reviewed journal in the world devoted to the services sector and service management. Since our launch we have developed a first-class international reputation for quality and knowledge. We welcome papers from researchers across the globe whose studies are informed by social sciences such as sociology, psychology, economics, law and politics. Contributions might explore: Management best practice Entrepreneurship best practice Innovation best practice Financial Management best practice All articles in SIJ undergo rigorous peer review, based on initial Editor-in-Chief and Methodology Editor screening followed by double-anonymized refereeing using at least two anonymous referees.
