The New Bioethics (TNB)
Journal Descriptions
The New Bioethics seeks to reclaim bioethics as a diverse and multidisciplinary project. It provides a space for dialogue between different perspectives on biotechnology and the human body and offers the chance to find new kinds of common ground. The journal invites contributions from a range of perspectives, from STEAM, law, philosophy, social and political sciences and theology from diverse religions. The journal, whilst regularly publishing papers on longstanding ethical issues such as brain death and conscientious objection in healthcare, focuses on the interface of new advances and the human body. It covers such issues as genomic editing, regenerative medicine (including the use of stem cells), human enhancement, ectogenesis and animal-human hybrids. In addition to research papers and book reviews, The New Bioethics has an Essay section which allows authors the opportunity to explore an issue in greater depth than in papers which are limited to 7000 words.
