The Journal of Latin American and Caribbean Anthropology (JLACA) is a quarterly, peer‑reviewed academic journal that serves as one of the leading venues for contemporary anthropological research on Latin America, the Caribbean, and related diasporic communities. Its scope encompasses a broad range of anthropological sub‑fields and interdisciplinary approaches, including sociocultural anthropology, linguistic anthropology, ethnohistory, archaeology, and bio‑physical anthropology, as well as contributions from allied disciplines when grounded in ethnographic inquiry.
