The Engineering Economist is a refereed journal published jointly by the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE) and the Engineering Economy Division of the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE). The journal publishes articles, case studies, surveys, and book and software reviews that represent original research, current practice, and teaching involving problems of capital investment and engineering economic analysis. The journal seeks submissions in a number of areas, including, but not limited to: capital investment analysis, techno-economic assessment, infrastructure economics, energy economics, life-cycle cost analysis, cost-benefit analysis, financial risk management, supply chain finance, cost estimation and accounting, cost of capital, design economics, economic decision analysis, engineering economy education, and the analysis of public policy when it is relevant to the economic investment decisions made by engineers and technology managers. All submitted manuscripts are subject to initial appraisal by the Editor, and, if found suitable for further consideration, to peer review by independent, anonymous expert referees. All peer review is double anonymized and submission is online. Practicing engineers, engineering managers, financial managers, engineering educators and researchers.
