The American Association of Nephrology Nurses and Technicians (AANNT)

ANNA Journal was the official peer reviewed publication of the American Association of Nephrology Nurses and Technicians, later known as the American Nephrology Nurses Association. The journal focused on nursing practices and clinical research related to kidney disease, dialysis therapy, transplantation, and renal patient care. The publication provided educational resources, evidence based clinical studies, professional guidelines, and advancements in nephrology nursing. Topics included hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, chronic kidney disease management, hypertension, patient education, vascular access care, and transplant nursing. The journal played a significant role in supporting professional development and continuing education for nephrology nurses and technicians in the United States and internationally. It later continued under the title Nephrology Nursing Journal.
