Tel Aviv is a peer-reviewed international journal that publishes articles on the archaeology and history of the Southern Levant. While the journal features articles dealing with periods ranging from prehistory to Late Antiquity, its primary focus is on the Bronze and Iron Ages. The Emery and Claire Yass Publications in Archaeology, the Institute's publishing arm, now sponsored by the Friends of the Institute of Archaeology of Tel Aviv University, was set up in 1973 to enable in-house publication of this journal as well as the results of field investigations carried out under the auspices of the Institute. The department produces the editorial content of Tel Aviv: Journal of the Institute of Archaeology of Tel Aviv University, a peer-reviewed open forum that welcomes contributions from scholars in Israel and around the globe. The department also publishes the Monograph Series, Tel Aviv Occasional Publications and Salvage Excavation Reports. TEL AVIV is a peer-reviewed international journal that publishes articles on current archaeological investigations in the Levant and critical studies related to the history and culture of Near Eastern civilizations. While the journal features articles dealing with the classical and prehistoric periods, its primary focus is on the biblical and protohistoric periods. TEL AVIV is published twice a year by Routledge, Taylor & Francis Group for the Institute of Archaeology of Tel Aviv University. Each annual volume contains approximately 280 pages and includes drawings, maps and photographs.
