Journal Descriptions

Systems Biology in Reproductive Medicine, SBiRM, is an international, peer-reviewed journal publishing high-quality, original basic, translational, and clinical research that is dedicated to bringing basic advances to the clinic. The journal highlights the use of systems approaches including genomic, cellular, proteomic, metabolomic, bioinformatic, molecular, and biochemical, to address fundamental questions in human and animal reproduction involving gametes, stem cells, developmental biology, toxicology, and clinical care in reproductive medicine spanning reproductive biology, reproductive medicine, and translational research. Specific areas of interest to the journal include: male factor infertility and germ cell biology, reproductive technologies (gamete micro-manipulation and cryopreservation, in vitro fertilization/embryo transfer (IVF/ET), and contraception. Research that is directed toward developing new or enhanced technologies for clinical medicine or scientific research in reproduction is of significant interest to the journal. Molecular Diagnostics is dedicated to bringing basic advances to the clinic. In this section, we will consider concept papers, reviews, assays that are in the early stages of development including their glitches, proof of principle, and implementation in the clinic.
