Sud Sciences et Technologies (SST)
Journal Descriptions
Sud Sciences et Technologies is a scientific and technical journal published by the École Inter-États d’Ingénieurs de l’Équipement Rural (E.I.E.R.) in Burkina Faso. The journal serves as a platform for the dissemination of research findings, technical studies, and engineering innovations relevant to socio-economic development, particularly in African regions. It primarily focuses on applied sciences and engineering disciplines that address real-world challenges such as water management, environmental sustainability, infrastructure development, and rural engineering. The journal encourages contributions from both African and international researchers, fostering collaboration between experts from the Global South and North. Its scope includes hydrology, hydraulics, sanitation engineering, energy, environmental studies, construction, and information technology. In addition, it also accommodates interdisciplinary research that integrates social sciences and economic perspectives related to development. Rather than following a strict publication schedule, the journal releases issues based on the availability of research outputs and institutional priorities. It plays an important role in promoting technical knowledge exchange and supporting development-oriented research. The publication is particularly valuable for engineers, researchers, and policymakers working on sustainable development challenges in Africa.
