Theologia Catholica Latina (Studia Universitatis Babeş-Bolyai series) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Faculty of Roman Catholic Theology of Babeş-Bolyai University since 2000. As one of the first scholarly theological journals that appeared in Romania after the fall of communism, the journal mainly published the research of the academic staff and colleagues from Hungary. It acquired an international profile starting with 2005, with contributions from international scholars and the internationalisation of the editorial and advisory board. The journal welcomes scholarly papers written in English, German, French and Italian. The structure of the journal is jointed on the studies and articles, books and reviews, grouped by domains. Since 2005 it is published as a semi-annual journal. The two issues appear in June and December, respectively. As of September 2021 is a Diamond Open Access journal. Addressing relevant, important matters is thematic issues. Improving the international profile of the journal, welcoming articles of international scholars. Including the journal in further international databases and improving its visibility. The journal is classified by the Romanian National Council for Scientific Research (CNCS) in the B Category (2011-2020: Myths, Rituals, Symbolic Representations, Theology and Religious Studies. Ethnography; 2020-present: Theology).
