Journal Descriptions

This journal came into being in order to fill in the area that was left open in Studia Universitatis Babeş-Bolyai. By this, it contributes to the growing reputation of the University of Cluj. The speciality reviewer, which guides the magazine, relies on the reports, by which we try to increase the professional performance of the successive volumes until they reach their maximum of efficiency and also their professional accuracy. They are musical personalities that are recognized both in our country and also internationally as they have a wide professional experience. The focus of the journal is to offer both the international and national musicologists the possibility of publishing their studies in a speciality frame that is organized and it has a highly professional stand. It also suggests its publication in international languages and in addition, it suggests aligning the national musicological publication to a European and an international level. Studia Universitatis Babeş-Bolyai Musica (Studia UBB Musica) is the musicology journal of the Faculty of Reformed Theology, Department of Music Pedagogy. The review was initiated by its redactor-in-chief, Gabriela COCA, in the first semester of the year 2007 – 2008.
