"Studia Musicologica Academiae Scientiarum Hungaricae" is an international journal dedicated to the field of musicology. It focuses on a broad range of musicological studies, with particular emphasis on the history of Hungarian and Central European music, as well as the folk (traditional) music of the region. The journal publishes longer studies, short essays, editions of documents with commentary, and reviews in English and German. The journal was founded in 1961 by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and was published under the title "Studia Musicologica Academiae Scientiarum Hungaricae" until 2007, after which it continued as "Studia Musicologica."
