Språk och stil (SOS)
Journal Descriptions
Language and Style strives to be a broad forum for research on the Swedish language. Thematic and methodological focus is therefore on: the structure, variation and use of Swedish in both spoken and written form in all genres. Contributions on Swedish in all periods are also welcome. Swedish is the dominant publishing language in the journal (Danish and Norwegian are of course also accepted), but contributions in English and German are also accepted. Manuscripts should be intended for publication in one of the three categories: Articles (maximum 75,000 characters including spaces), Minor Contributions (15,000 characters) and Reviews (15,000 characters). Manuscripts can be submitted continuously throughout the year. Normally, manuscripts submitted after June 1 will not have time to be published in this year's issue. The journal accepts manuscripts that have been presented at conferences, uploaded to personal websites, or made available through other informal communication channels prior to submission in preliminary versions. Authors must, however, retain full copyright to the text in question. The overall publishing responsibility lies with the journal's editor-in-chief. He or she has a qualified editorial board to support in various issues regarding the publication of individual manuscripts, the journal's development, etc. Language and Style has been published since 1901 (from 1921 to 1990 under the name Nysvenska studier).
