South Asia: Journal of South Asian Studies (SA:SAS)
Journal Descriptions
South Asia: Journal of South Asian Studies is a refereed journal which provides a forum for scholarly research, comment and discussion on the history, society, economy, culture and international relations of the South Asian region, drawing on a range of disciplines from the humanities and social sciences. We aim to publish cutting edge, innovative, conceptually interesting, original case studies and new research, which shape and lead debates in South Asian studies. We do not publish econometric analyses or policy papers. The journal is published six times a year; ordinarily there is at least one issue dedicated to a topical theme per volume. Published since 1971, South Asia is the world's senior journal of record for the South Asian region, published under the authority of the South Asian Studies Association of Australia.
