Sociétés contemporaines (SC)
Journal Descriptions
Contemporary Societies is a multidisciplinary social science journal launched in 1990. It is published with the support of the CNRS. The journal publishes four issues per year. Each issue includes a thematic dossier, non-issue articles and, since the movement of journals in struggle, a section "In Struggle" contributed by our colleague Camille Noûs, from the Cogitamus laboratory. The editorial board is careful to ensure that the dossiers present a plurality of theoretical approaches. Sociétés Contemporaines is an instrument for disseminating research results in the social sciences. Sociétés Contemporaines is aimed at a wide audience, researchers and professionals in the social sciences, teachers but also anyone interested in thinking about current societies and their changes. Issues of Sociétés Contemporaines are available online on the Cairn.info portal from issue 41-42 (2001/1) to the last issue published and on Persée.fr (1990-2000).
