Small Enterprise Research (SER)
Journal Descriptions
Small Enterprise Research is the official journal of the Small Enterprise Association of Australia and New Zealand Ltd (SEAANZ), a not-for-profit organisation founded in 1987 to promote links between academics, practitioners and policymakers that are active in the micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) ecosystem. As the official journal of SEAANZ, Small Enterprise Research is dedicated to the advancement of these 'four pillars' through the dissemination of knowledge. Small Enterprise Research (SER) is an international, scholarly, and double anonymized peer-reviewed journal. Established in 1992, it presents practitioner, analytical and theoretical insights focused on MSMEs and entrepreneurship.: SER was originally the outlet for studies from researchers from Australasia but our focus now is very much international and we welcome submissions from any country. We remain committed to publishing quality and rigorous research from a range of disciplines, with the overarching aim of supporting and promoting MSMEs to enable them to thrive both in our region, and globally. In recent years we have attracted submissions from academics and practitioners from all over the world, reflecting our global relevance in the field of entrepreneurship. Aims and Scope We publish rigorous peer reviewed studies focused on MSMEs and entrepreneurship for academic researchers, practitioners and policymakers. We are interested in practitioner contributions on MSMEs. We welcome rigorous empirical, theoretical and methodological studies that use qualitative, mixed methods or quantitative research approaches, and that are directly relevant to entrepreneurship and MSMEs.
