The journal Scientia [SCI-J] is under the supervision of the Research Center of the Ricardo Palma University, a unit dependent on the Vice-Rectorate for Research. It is aimed at national and international researchers interested in disseminating original and high-impact knowledge in two thematic areas: (I) Engineering: Industrial and Business Engineering; Civil and Environmental Engineering; Materials, Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering; Telecommunications, Electrical and Electronic Engineering; Chemical Engineering and Nanotechnology; Biotechnology and Bioengineering; Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering. And (II) Exact and Earth Sciences: Mathematics and Physics; Computer Science and Bioinformatics; Astronomy and Astrophysics; Chemistry; Geosciences, Geography, Paleontology, Geochemistry and Geology; Environmental Sciences, Meteorology, Climate and Volcanology; Oceanography and Hydrology. The journal includes sections dedicated to: research articles, review articles, case studies, and letters to the editor. The citation style follows the IEEE standards. SCI-J does not charge authors any fees for submission, processing, or publication (APC). Published articles can be shared under the Creative Commons Attribution/Recognition International License (CC-BY 4.0) in accordance with its open access and reuse policy. It is published biannually, open access, and has double-blind peer review, guaranteeing the anonymity of the author and peers. It has been published continuously since 1999.
