Scandinavian Studies, official journal of the Society for the Advancement of Scandinavian Study, focuses on the languages, cultures, and histories of the Nordic region, including the countries of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. It is an interdisciplinary journal spanning work in the humanities and social sciences, and as such serves as an outlet for original research in the languages, literatures, histories, cultures, and societies of the region, ranging from medieval to contemporary times. The official journal of the Society for the Advancement of Scandinavian Study A subscription to Scandinavian Studies is a member benefit for individuals of Society for the Advancement of Scandinavian Study. Submissions to Scandinavian Studies are welcome on any topic related to the language, culture, or society of the Nordic region, past or present. Please note that only those papers based on material examined in the original language will be considered. Quotations of texts or sources should be given in the original language, with English translations subjoined to quotations from the Nordic languages.
