Rivista Giuridica Sarda (RGS)
Journal Descriptions
The Sardinian Legal Review, founded in 1986, is a specific tool for information and commentary on the law applied in Sardinia or which has Sardinia as its point of reference. During its almost forty years of existence , the Journal, both in its paper version and, since 2010, in its online version, has strived to offer a picture, as complete as possible, of the jurisprudence of Sardinian judges – as well as of the Court of Cassation, the Council of State, the Constitutional Court in relation to judgments on the merits held in Sardinia or which have relevance to issues concerning the Island – in private law, criminal law, public law (with particular reference to administrative law but without neglecting constitutional and tax law) and in Community law . Particularly in the private law sector, particular attention has been paid to the progressive specialization of subject matter (in addition to the issues traditionally included in civil law, civil procedural law, commercial law, and labor law, space has been given to those pertaining to banking, financial intermediation, industrial law, insurance, and shipping law, as well as European private law). Commentary notes have been provided to account for the main problematic issues that have emerged from the most significant decisions. Finally, in the “variety” column , the reader is informed about current events, both with reports on the most important legal conferences taking place on the island, and with the publication of essays and articles that explore topics of particular interest.
