Revue internationale de droit pénal (RIDP)
Journal Descriptions
The International Review of Penal Law covers general theory and criminal philosophy, general criminal law, and specific penal provisions, criminal procedure, and international criminal law from an international and comparative perspective. The International Journal of Penal Law is the main communication medium and the essential scientific output of the International Association of Penal Law. It contributes to the development of ideas, knowledge, and practices in the field of criminal sciences. Combining international and comparative perspectives, the RIDP covers general theory and penal philosophy, general criminal law, special criminal law, criminal procedure, and international criminal law. The RIDP is published twice a year. Typically, issues are dedicated to the Association's main scientific activities: AIDP conferences, Young Penalists' Conferences, World Conferences, or, every five years, the International Congress of Penal Law. Occasionally, issues are devoted to a particular, topical scientific theme, approved by the Association's Scientific Committee, comprising high-level contributions that have either been presented and discussed at small-scale expert symposia or selected following an open call for papers. The RIDP is published in English only. All contributions are subject to a two-tier peer review. The primary responsibility for scientific and peer review for each issue lies with the designated scientific editor(s) of the issue. Additional scientific quality control is carried out by the Executive Committee of the Editorial Board, which may call upon the Reading Committee for additional peer review.
