Revue française de droit constitutionnel (RFDC)
Journal Descriptions
Constitutional law is a law in flux. Since the publication of the first issue in 1990, countries in Central and Eastern Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas have been rediscovering the virtues of pluralism and the ideal of the separation of powers, so dear to the founders of democracy. Moreover, the European Constitutional Treaty constitutes a constitutional event common to all EU countries. The journal has provided this legal discipline with specific scientific support. Through studies and columns, the Journal aims to highlight the most dynamic aspects of constitutional law in France, Europe and the world, to accompany doctrinal, jurisprudential and institutional changes, to shed light on them through analyses and commentaries from several voices and to highlight the role of constitutional law as a law of democracy. Each issue of the journal includes several in-depth studies selected by the Reading Committee and a series of regular columns. All areas of constitutional law are eligible for publication: constitutional history, political institutions, constitutional jurisprudence, fundamental rights, etc. The journal is open to studies on the relationship between constitutional law and other normative systems (European Union law or the European Convention on Human Rights), or to those on interactions with other branches of domestic law (administrative law, criminal law, civil law, financial law, etc.). A large place is given to current events in foreign constitutional law (constitutional case law, institutional developments, elections, etc.).
