Revue française d’études américaines (RFDA)
Journal Descriptions
Founded in 1976, the Revue Française d'Études Américaines brings together scholarly articles on North American studies, in the fields of literature, the arts, the social sciences and the humanities. Quarterly issues are organized thematically. They also include off-theme articles, points of view, bibliographical summaries and interviews. Editors-in-chief Nicholas Manning (Grenoble) and Anne Stefani (Toulouse 2) are elected for a three-year term, renewable once, at the May general meeting of the Association française d'études américaines. The RFEA provides a forum for debate on research in North American studies. Its independent editorial board selects original articles that take a disciplinary or transdisciplinary approach. These articles present the results of theoretical, empirical or critical research. Evaluation criteria take into account the novel or innovative nature of the article, the presence of a problematic, knowledge of the field, the relevance of sources and the quality of developments. Journalistic or popularized material, as well as unedited thesis chapters, will not be accepted. All submissions are subject to double-blind evaluation by members of the editorial board and external specialists. Members of the Editorial Board are elected at a meeting of the Board at the suggestion of the editors or members of the Board, in such a way as to achieve the best possible balance between the number of lecturers and professors, and between the disciplines and centuries represented. They are also elected for a three-year term, renewable once. Read: RFEA CHARTER.
