Revue d’études comparatives Est-Ouest (RECEO)

This journal publishes original research papers on the post-Soviet area of Europe and Eurasia. It favors the comparison of ideas, scientific exchange and cooperation between researchers from the various social science disciplines and geographical areas the journal covers. Since its creation in 1970 by the CNRS, the upheaval of the geopolitical map of the European continent has raised more questions than certainties, and economic discontinuities have become more pronounced. The Revue d'études comparatives Est-Ouest responds to the need for a better understanding of the countries in this zone, and of their transformation towards democracy and a market economy. The aim is to forge explanatory concepts and contribute to the construction of a European research area in the social sciences in the broadest sense (economics, sociology, politics, history, etc.).
