The Colombian Journal of Pulmonology is the official journal of the Colombian Association of Pulmonology and Thoracic Surgery . It publishes twice a year studies related to respiratory diseases such as epidemiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis, treatment, and basic research. For more information, see the Journal Presentation . The "Colombian Journal of Pulmonology" is the official journal of the Colombian Association of Pulmonology and Thoracic Surgery ; it is published twice a year with approximately 20 articles in total. Our main objective is to disseminate all the scientific activities and the position of the association itself, as well as that of the Latin American Thoracic Association (ALAT) (of which it is a member), regarding public health issues, the social projection of the specialty, and issues related to education and medical practice in this branch of medicine. The journal publishes studies whose content addresses aspects of respiratory diseases such as epidemiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment, and topics related to basic research. Its primary audience is focused on pulmonology (both pediatric and adult) and thoracic surgery; pathologists specializing in lung transplantation and interventional pulmonology; sleep disorders specialists; pulmonary hypertension specialists; cardiologists specializing in public health; physical therapists; pulmonary rehabilitation specialists; and medical personnel trained in all of these areas of interest.
