Revista Colombiana de las Artes Escénicas (CAE)
Journal Descriptions
The Colombian Journal of the Performing Arts was founded in January 2007 in the Department of Performing Arts at the University of Caldas, through the initiative and leadership of its founding member, Master's Degree holder Rubén Darío Zuluaga. Professor Zuluaga's interest in disseminating the results of his research and creations within the academic community has facilitated, since that year, the formation of a vast network of collaborators who, today, make a permanent contribution through the production and dissemination of new knowledge in the field of the performing arts. The Journal is published annually (beginning in 2018, it will be published semiannually) and circulates nationally and internationally. It is dedicated to the reflection and promotion of new knowledge produced by researchers and creators in the performing arts. In this sense, it constitutes a space for academic discussion on topics related to theater, dance, performance, installations, and other aesthetic expressions and practices, which emerge as living arts in the encounter with the spectator. It includes research findings, interviews, research-derived essays, reviews, and materials with diverse perspectives related to the performing arts. Its objectives also include contributing to the theoretical and professional development of the university community and other creative professionals working in the field.
